Bollywood’s young actress Alaya F has come on board to feature in the forthcoming romantic-thriller Freddy, also starring Kartik Aaryan.
Directed by Veere Di Wedding fame director Shashanka Ghosh, the film is bankrolled by Ekta Kapoor’s banner Balaji Telefilms and Jay Shewakramani’s Northern Lights Films.
The 23-year-old actress took to her Instagram space and posted a happy picture with a clapboard, announcing the news. “Ready for ‘Freddy!’ So happy to be on board with the most wonderful team!” she captioned the post.
Kartik Aaryan also shared a snapshot on his Instagram account of Alaya cutting a cake and wrote, “Welcome @AlayaF___ From Freddy.”
Under Kartik’s post, Alaya commented, “When did you decide to post this!!” To which he replied, “Freddy loves to give surprises.”
For the unversed, Alaya had made her acting debut with the 2020 comedy-drama film, titled Jawaani Jaaneman, co-starring Saif Ali Khan. Last month, she started shooting for the Hindi remake of the Kannada thriller U-Turn, also backed by Ekta Kapoor.
Meanwhile, besides Freddy, Kartik will also be seen in Ram Madhvani’s action-thriller Dhamaka, Anees Bazmee’s directed horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 also starring Kiara Advani. He also has Hansal Mehat’s action-drama Captain India, and a romantic-musical untitled next in his pipeline.
