Several films were released on the OTT platform amidst the covid situation in India. And now, there are reports about Akshay Kumar’s films, ‘Sooryavanshi’ and ‘Bell Bottom’’s release date. Recently the actor revealed that both the film will be release on Independence Day.
Talking about the same, Akshay shared that he is overwhelmed by the excitement of the fans regarding the release of the film. The actor insisted that the producer of the film are clear about releasing them in theatres. He said, “I’m humbled at the excitement and eagerness of my fans regarding the release of Sooryavanshi and Bell Bottom, and want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for all their love. However, at this point, it is purely speculative to say that both films will release on Independence Day. The producers of both films are working out the release dates and will make announcements at the right time,”
The most anticipated film Sooryavanshi is most likely to be released on 15th August, 2021 in theatres. The film has been getting postponed due to the covid-19 pandemic. Earlier the film was supposed to release on April 30. The film is directed by Rohit Shetty. Karan Johar and Reliance Entertainment, Sooryavanshi also stars Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh in pivotal roles. ‘Sooryavanshi’ will be the 4th film of Rohit Shetty’s after Ajay Devgn-starrer ‘Singham’, ‘Singham Returns’ and ‘Simmba’, starring Ranveer Singh.
The spy thriller ‘Bell Bottom’ also features Vaani Kapoor, Lara Dutta and Huma Qureshi besides Kumar. The thriller was initially scheduled to release in May. But due to the current situation in India, the film got delayed.
