Akshay Kumar’s mother Aruna Bhatia dies: Salman Khan, Nimrat Kaur, and other celebs offer condolences to the actor

Akshay Kumar’s mother Aruna Bhatia passed away on Wednesday morning (September 8) due to age-related ailments. The actor’s mother was critical and was admitted to Mumbai’s Hiranandani Hospital on September 3.

Akshay returned to Mumbai from the UK after learning about his mother’s ill-health. His post on Twitter read, “She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti.”

After the demise of Akshay Kumar’s mother in Mumbai, his friends and colleagues from the industry offered condolences to his family on social media.

Taking to Twitter, Salman Khan wrote, “Dear Akki, very sad to hear of the passing of your mother. May she rest in peace. My deepest condolences to you and your entire family.”

Akshay Kumar’s Bell Bottom co-star Huma Qureshi wrote, “Sending you prayers and peace Sir. Om Shanti.”

Ajay Devgn also took to a micro-blogging site and wrote, “Dear Akki, Heartfelt condolences on your mother’s passing away. May Arunaji’s soul find eternal peace. Condolences to you & your family. Om Shanti.”

“Sorry to hear about aunty Akshay sir… We are praying for her and the entire family,” tweeted Parineeti Chopra.

Singer Shankar Mahadevan wrote, “Dear @akshaykumar heartfelt condolences to you and your family. Prayers for her peaceful journey ahead.”

“So very sorry for your profound loss. Deepest condolences and my heartfelt prayers to you and the whole family in this grave hour. Satnaam wahe guru @akshaykumar,” Nimrat Kaur tweeted.

Vindu Dara Singh wrote, “Prayers for your strong maa prah, she will always be blessing us from the heavens.”

Comedian Kapil Sharma also paid his condolences on Twitter. His tweet read, “Dear Akshay paji, it’s very sad to hear about your mother passing away, my deepest condolences to you and family, god bless the departed soul.”
