Mirnaa Calls Hrithik Roshan Once-in-a-Lifetime in Jailer 2

Mirnaa opens up about working with childhood crush Hrithik Roshan in Jailer 2, and why a scene that never made the final cut still felt once-in-a-lifetime.

Mirnaa Calls Hrithik Roshan Once-in-a-Lifetime in Jailer 2

For Mirnaa, Jailer 2 was already a homecoming: she reprises the role she first played in the 2023 blockbuster Jailer, opposite Rajinikanth. But the sequel also handed her something more personal—a chance to share the frame with Hrithik Roshan, the Bollywood star she says she has admired since childhood.

A post that doubled as a fan moment

In a behind-the-scenes photograph shared on social media, Mirnaa posed with Hrithik and made no attempt to hide her excitement. “A childhood crush, a hero I’ve always been in awe of, and now, the surreal feeling of sharing screen space with him!” she wrote.

Her message reads less like a co-star’s note and more like a fan’s diary entry—the kind of full-circle moment Indian cinema often produces but rarely documents from the inside.

The scene that never made it to theatres

The photograph also captured something audiences will not see in the finished film. The combination sequence featuring Mirnaa and Hrithik does not appear in the theatrical version of Jailer 2. Hrithik’s part in the sequel is built around a high-impact cameo, with action sequences rather than an extended dialogue-driven role.

That makes Mirnaa’s reaction more interesting, not less. Even screen time that ends up on the cutting-room floor still matters to the actor on the other side of the camera.

Why the Hrithik cameo is a talking point

Mirnaa also praised the person she found behind the image.

“Working with Hrithik Roshan on Jailer 2 was truly special. And getting to know the person behind the superstar made it even more beautiful. So sweet, so humble, so down to earth. My admiration and respect for him have only multiplied! Some moments are just once-in-a-lifetime. This is one of them.”

For the audience, the cameo carries a second layer. Hrithik and Rajinikanth go back to Bhagwaan Dada (1986), where Hrithik appeared as a child actor. He has spoken of Rajinikanth affectionately over the years, calling him “Rajini uncle.” Jailer 2 brings the two together again.

  • The full-circle frame: A Bollywood star returns to share screen space with the actor he worked with as a child.
  • The hidden sequence: Mirnaa filmed with Hrithik, but the scene is absent from the theatrical cut.
  • The fandom moment: Mirnaa speaks as a fan first: a childhood crush, now a colleague.

The sequel had crossed Rs 600 crore worldwide by its eighth day, Filmfare reported. Mirnaa’s post is a reminder that, even inside a large-scale production, some personal milestones are not measured by box office.
