Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions announced that they will be recasting ‘Dostana 2’, starring Kartik Aaryan. As per the reports, Kartik Aaryan will no longer be a part of the project. The actor is being replaced due to the ‘creative differences’ and his alleged tantrums on the sets.
Dharma Production also released a statement saying, “Due to professional circumstances, on which we have decided to maintain a dignified silence – we will be recasting Dostana 2, directed by Collin D’Cunha. Please wait for the official announcement soon. – Dharma Productions”
Akshay Kumar and Varun Dhawan’s name have made it to the headlines for ‘Dostana 2’. But it seems that the reports are false. A source said, “Producer Karan and director Collin haven’t reached out to any actor as yet for Dostana 2. In fact, some are even saying that Varun Dhawan has been approached for the same, but there’s no truth to that. They might reach out to some of these actors later but for now Collin is focusing on fine tuning the script. They will look at casting in some time.”
There have been reports that Karan Johar is considering Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham, the original cast of Dostana, for its sequel. However, there is no confirmation about the same.
Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan will be seen in Ram Madhvani’s Dhamaka and Anees Bazmee’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan rose to fame “Pyaar Ka Punchnama” and later featured in films such as “Luka Chupppi”, “pati Patni Aur Woh” and “Love Aaj Kal”. He will be seen in Ram Madhvani’s Dhamaka and Anees Bazmee’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
