The American reality television comedy Real Husbands of Hollywood (abbreviated RHOH) ran on BET from January 15, 2013, to December 13, 2016. It was revealed in July 2021 that even a limited series resurrection had been in the works and will air on BET+.
The show was co-created by comedian Kevin Hart as well as chronicles the everyday lives of him and several married celebrities while they navigate their bizarre Hollywood lifestyles as fictitious versions of themselves.
Boris Kodjoe, Nelly, Duane Martin, J.B. Smoove, Nick Cannon, Oliver (Hart’s assistant, portrayed by James Davis), as well as Robin Thicke were among the original cast members. Thicke did not come back again for the second season owing to his music career, however, Hart has said that he is interested in returning.
The series is purposefully shot in the style of Bravo’s The Real Housewives. The “actual” Kevin Hart’s frantic aspirations to climb Hollywood’s famous social ladder (which usually fail in embarrassing ways) as well as the character’s barely-concealed resentment of his more fortunate celebrity acquaintances are frequently featured in episodes.
