Several actors have come forward to help people who are in need during the covid-19 situation. Actor Nikhil Siddhartha is doing his bits to assist the needy in the times of the pandemic. On Sunday, the actor was been stopped by the Hyderabad police and was asked to get an E-pass to travel from Uppal to Kims Minister Road. He took to his Twitter and wrote that he thought medical emergencies were allowed.
He wrote, “Was on the way to deliver Emergency Life saving Medicines from Uppal to Kims Minister Road… Inspite of providing the Prescription and patient details.. was stopped and asked to Get an Epass.”
Nikhil also stated that he tried applying to the E-pass with no luck. He added, “Tried 9 times but the server is down…I thought medical emergencies were allowed!!!”
Hyderabad Police’s also replied to the actor post and wrote, “Dear sir, please share your location, we will inform the concerned/local staff, to get it resolved. Thank you.”
The Tollywood actor has been helping to those in need since the last pandemic. He has arranged everything from food for migrant workers to oxygen cylinders and beds through the last year. The actor even distributed masks and sanitisers to frontline workers when such were not available in the market.
