Mohit Raina was born on August 14, 1982, in Jammu, wherein he received his bachelor’s degree in business. He relocated to Mumbai to pursue a modelling career. He believed that modelling would help him break into the acting industry, so he dropped 29 kilogrammes (64 lb) from his adolescent weight of 107 kilogrammes (236 lb) in order to compete in the 2005 Grasim Mister India model competition.
