Several reports concerning Bollywood New-age star Kartik Aaryan starter film ‘Dhamaka’ have surfaced in recent weeks. When Netflix announced its slate of upcoming releases, the Ram Madhvani-directed film, which the streaming giant has now acquired, made headlines. Read below to know deeds.
Even though Netflix has not officially announced a release date for Kartik Aaryan starrer ‘Dhamaka’, we have learned from a close source connected to the project that the film will premiere on the streaming service in October 2021.

A close source related to the film project has informed that “The current scenario is such that more and more films are opting for an OTT release especially since theatre business has drastically declined due to Covid. Keeping this in mind, OTT platforms are now slotting releases in quick succession, and Kartik Aaryan’s Dhamaka is one of them.”
Further talking about the release of ‘Dhamaka’ in October 2021, the source added, “Yes, Netflix has locked the release of Kartik Aaryan starrer Dhamaka in October this year. The reason being, the festive season of Navratri and Dusshera. Being the usual release pattern for films to release on festive occasions, the digital giant is looking to maximise its viewership with a similar method.”
However, we still have to wait for the official announcement about the films release date on the giant OTT platform. Talking about the movie, ‘Dhamaka’ is a remake of The Terror Live, a 2013 South Korean film directed by Ram Madhvani. The film’s plot centres around Kartik Aaryan’s character, a news anchor, who attempts to promote his career by staging a terrorist attack. Kartik Aaryan is one of the busiest actor in the country and has a bunch of projects lined up such as the recently announced film Hansal Mehta’s directorial film ‘Captain India’.
