Naseeruddin Shah is one of Bollywood’s most talented performers, having starred in a number of memorable films. With his on-screen abilities and even his off-screen demeanour, the actor has won hearts. While Naseeruddin is a joy to see on film, the veteran actor recently made news when he confessed that he suffers from an illness known as onomatomania. He revealed this during a recent interview on YouTube channel Chalchitra Talks, claiming that he has a medical issue that prevents him from sleeping.
Naseeruddin clarified what the ailment is all about throughout the discussion, stating that a person with this disease continues repeating a specific word or phrase. “Onomatomania is an ailment in which you keep repeating a word or a phrase, a sentence or a verse or a speech for no reason at all. Except that you like to hear it. I do it all the time so I am never quite at rest. Even when I am sleeping, I am going over some passage I love,” he was quoted saying.
Nevertheless, Naseeruddin Shah was most recently seen in Shakun Batra’s directorial Gehraiyaan, with Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday, and Siddhant Chaturvedi, as well as his performance, was well received by the public. The legendary actor will next be seen in Arjun Kapoor’s dark comedy Kuttey, which also stars Tabu, Radhika Madan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kumud Mishra, and others.
