After agreeing on a hefty agreement with the giant digital streaming platform ‘Netflix’, British actor Daniel Craig has become the highest paid actor of all time. Netflix has officially signed the renowned British actor toward a new agreement.
The new deal with Netflix will be seeing him shoot the very next two sequels to ‘Knives Out,’ which will pay him about $100 million (80 million euros).
This places Daniel just at top of his industry’s income chart, surpassing Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, who earned $30 million for the movie ‘Red One,’ a figure that may grow to $50 million.
Will Smith as well as Denzel Washington were third and fifth, respectively, with $40 million and $30 million, respectively, for their roles in Adam McKay’s comedy movie ‘Don’t Look Up’. Jennifer Lawrence, the co-star in the film, is indeed the highest-paid female actor, with such compensation of $25 million. Julia Roberts, Sandra Bullock, Ryan Gosling, Robert Pattinson, and Brad Pitt are among many others on the list.
In the sequel, Daniel, who played master detective Benoit Blanc inside the popular 2019 whodunnit, will play his part. Netflix scored all rights to two sequels and a pre-made series for just a whopping $469 million. The agreement’s sole stipulations had been that Daniel should appear for both instalments and each has had at minimum the very same expense as that of the 2019 film.
Jennifer Lawrence, which earned $25 million out from the film ‘Don’t Look Up,’ is ranked sixth.
Actor Julia Roberts ($25 million from ‘Leave the World Behind,’ Sandra Bullock ($20 million from ‘The Lost City of D,’ and Ryan Gosling ($20 million from ‘The Gray Man’) are among the top ten actors on the particular recent list.
