Sidharth Malhotra Persuaded Dharma Productions To Produce ‘Shershaah’

As per reports, Bollywood Actor Sidharth Malhotra persuaded Dharma Productions to ‘Shershaah’. Read details below to know more.

Sidharth Malhotra is receiving a lot of praise for his natural acting in the powerful trailer for his upcoming flick Shershaah. The film, which tells Captain Vikram Batra’s inspirational storey, had an interesting route to become a screenplay. This storey was brought to Dharma Productions by Sidharth Malhotra. The Student of The Year actor, met Vishal Batra, Vikram Batra’s brother, a few years ago and was fascinated by Vikram Batra’s struggle and sacrifice. He envisioned the storey being conveyed onscreen to reach a wider audience.

Sidharth Malhotra oversaw the project and handed it over to Dharma Productions, who jumped on board right away to produce this incredible storey. From the inception of this idea to now being able to share this powerful journey with the world, It has been on a 5-year journey.

Shershaah is a biographical war film about army commander Vikram Batra, who won the Param Vir Chakra medal. Will play Vikram and Vishal Batra, respectively. Captain Vikram Batra’s fiancée, Dimple Cheema, will be played by actress Kiara Advani. Vishnuvardhan, a Tamil filmmaker, is slated to make his Hindi debut with Shershaah, a film produced by Karan Johar. The film will be available on Amazon Prime Video on August 12, 2021.

The film is directed by Vishnu Varadhan and produced by Dharma Productions. Kiara Advani shared the trailer with her photo with the team of “Shershaah”.  The actress wrote, And the journey begins, #TeamShershaah. Touchdown Kargil. His love and commitment are now yours to celebrate. Presenting the true story of Captain Vikram Batra’s bravery and courage!”

Chunky Panday Feels Proud of Daughter Ananya Panday’s Success

As we all know that Bollywood actress Ananya Panday who made her debut in the Dharma Productions movie Student of The year 2 alongside Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria in the year 2019. Since then Ananya has emerged as a hardworking actress in the industry and his father actor Chunky Panday feels proud of her.

Recently talking about his daughter’s growing success. Chunky reminisced about when his father shared the excitement of being known as the “Aankhen” actor’s father. “Years before I had become an actor, I had very famous doctor parents. I was always known as Doctor Panday’s son, naughty son,” Chunky told IANS.

He further added that “Then one day after becoming an actor in 1987, I remember my father was in Delhi attending a heart surgeons’ conference, and when he was introduced on stage, he was introduced as Doctor Panday, who also happens to be actor Chunky Panday’s father and my father was so excited.”

“There were no mobile phones then, but he called me up on an STD line. Said, ‘Chunky, I am very proud of you. I have been introduced as your father’,” the actor recalled. Chunky Panday feels the same for Ananya. 

“The same goes now, and I think when I am introduced as Ananya’s father anywhere, it’s pure excitement and happiness. I think seeing her success is making me happier than seeing my success. When my success was happening I was too busy working,” said the 58-year-old actor. “With hers, yes, I am working, but it makes me proud, and it is 10-fold more to see a child succeed at something.”

“Yes, I am proud to be Ananya Panday’s dad, and I always want to be known as that. And I have another daughter Rysa Panday. I want to be known as her dad, too,” said Actor Chunky Panday.

Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions collaborates with

Filmmaker Karan Johar’s Dharma producttions has joined hands with Yuvaa. Through this collaboration it aims to amplify resources and leads amid the Covid-19 second wave. The second wave of COVID-19 has imapacted many in a negative way. India is posting new records every day and there is a huge crunch. Yuvaa is a youth-based social media and community engagement organisation, that has been working to spread reliable information concerning vaccination and mental health in these times. 

In the year 2020 too KJo and his production house has collaboated with various relief funds and a host of NGOs to help those affected by the lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. The producer will be donating to PM-CARES and Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Relief Fund through his banner Dharma Productions. The production house will also be helping out not-for-profits such as Give India Fundraisers, GOONJ, Zomato Feeding India, International Association for Human Values (IAHV), and Producers Guild of India.

“Over the past month India has stood united in this decision to stay home and stay safe until we overcome this pandemic. But there is so much more to do in order to win the fight against this dreaded disease,” as per the producton house “Dharma Production”.  They also stated that. “With the lockdown being extended, it’s only going to get harder on everyone, especially those workers and technicians who rely on daily wages for their livelihood. They are in a situation in which they don’t have clarity on where their next meal is coming from…and that can be scary…. very scary,”

Karan Johar’s Dharma Production stated that every individual’s moral responsibility is to help those affected by the lockdown. “They are in this situation through no fault of their own, and we believe it’s our moral responsibility to help them as much as we possibly can.  That is why the entire Dharma family has come together to extend our support to the various causes initiated by the government and host of NGOs to help those affected by this lockdown. “There is still a lot to be done, and this is our contribution to the cause. Let us all unite and fight COVID together,”

Jio Studios And Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions Start Talks for Collaboration

Karan Johar known is one of the most popular film maker, producer, screenwriter in Bollywood.  As per reports, Karan Johar is in talks with Gautam Adani’s Group to sell a 30% stake of his production company Dharma Production.

Dharma Production had closed a deal with Sounth industry’s reputed Lyca Productions which has several films, including Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0.

Karan Johar has been with Adani to sell 30% take in his production company, but recently there has been no development with the deal. A source revealed, “If all goes well, then Jio Studios would back Dharma Productions. The development happened after Karan Johar had a meeting with Mukesh Ambani, who owns two film entities – Jio Studios and Viacom18 Motion Pictures. The meeting seems to have been fruitful. It was felt by both that more than Viacom18, Jio should come on board. Of course, it won’t be official until both parties sign on the dotted line. The modalities are being worked out.”

The source also revealed, “The times that we live in, everything is unpredictable. Dharma-Lyca deal was almost confirmed but eventually, it failed to materialize. Hence, one can’t say what the end result would be with regards to the Dharma-Jio deal. Let’s wait and watch.”

An industry insider says, “I hope this deal fructifies. Jio Studios has been doing great. And Karan Johar, as we all know, is a credible producer. His slate of upcoming films is also quite exciting. Definitely, it’ll be a win-win situation for both Dharma Productions as well as Jio Studios.”

Jio Studios has become a studio to reckon with. It made its entry in Bollywood with the 2018 surprise hit, the horror comedy Stree. It was produced by Dnesh Vijan’s Maddock films like Luka Chuppi (2019), Made In China (2019), Bala (2019), Love Aaj Kal (2020), Angrezi Medium (2020) and Roohi (2021).
