BTS member Jin has etched his name in the Billboard record books once again. With his second solo EP Echo, Jin has achieved a milestone no other K-pop soloist has: eight of his songs have now reached No. 1 on the World Digital Song Sales chart. Released earlier this month, the Echo album made an extraordinary splash, with six of its seven tracks clinching the top six positions on the prestigious chart.
Leading the pack is “Nothing Without Your Love,” which debuted at No. 1, followed by “Rope It,” “Background,” “Loser” featuring Choi Ye Na, “With the Clouds,” and “To Me, Today.” Fans celebrated the achievement, noting that Jin’s consistent impact as a solo artist is unmatched in the K-pop industry. This historic charting is a testament to the global fanbase’s unwavering support.
Interestingly, the lead single from Echo, “Don’t Say You Love Me,” did not feature on the World Digital Song Sales chart. The reason? The song, entirely sung in English, didn’t meet the eligibility criteria for that particular chart. However, it made an impressive debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Digital Song Sales chart, which includes English-language tracks. Additionally, it landed at No. 5 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 7 on the Global 200.
This new achievement solidifies Jin’s status not just as a member of BTS but as a solo force in the music industry. His ability to chart in both language-specific and global categories highlights the versatile and far-reaching appeal of his artistry.
