Amazon Prime Video does not yet have the number of original films like Netflix and Disney Plus Hotstar do, but it is starting to develop. Amazon has made substantial expenditures in film production, buying hits such As the Tomorrow War and producing more original content each month than has ever been done before. Amazon Original Movies provides something for everyone, including sci-fi epics, action thrillers, revealing documentaries, rock musicals, and much more. They aren’t all winners, though, as with any service. We combed through Amazon’s collection to identify the finest original films available to stream just now.
Val (2021)
He’s played the role of Batman. He’s played the role of Elvis Presley’s ghost. He was the controversial frontman for The Doors and the voice of K.I.T.T. Val Kilmer has been continually filming his life since before he was a star, from revealing times on Hollywood projects to more private corners of his existence. The documentary Val, which will be released in 2021, is a gift to us. The image we get is of a complex guy who is often at war with himself as he grapples with his mortality and legacy. Val is an unexpectedly candid and open portrayal of the actor that you can’t afford to miss. This is the best in the list of Amazon Original Movies.
Annette (2021)
How much was everyone thinking as they watched Adam Driver’s portrayal of Kylo Ren in even the most recent Star Wars films? “Do you think he could sing in a rock opera?” Now you have the opportunity to find out. The driver throws down his lightsaber to become stand-up comedian Henry in Amazon’s upcoming musical Annette, where he becomes engaged to globe singer Ann Desfranoux (Marion Cotillard). Just after the birth of their titular daughter, who is played by a marionette puppet, things start to go odd. While Henry’s jealously grows for Ann’s successful job while he’s obliged to remain at home with Annette, Ann gets terrifying images of Henry’s tumultuous background.
The Tomorrow War (2021)
The Future War, a huge film in which time travellers in the year 2051 descend on Earth in a last-ditch effort to stave off an extraterrestrial invasion, is Amazon’s first foray into the sci-fi genre. The Earth is losing an interplanetary fight in 2051. Their only hope is to travel back to 2021 and take soldiers and people to the future to win a fight and attrition battle. Dan Forester (Chris Pratt), a high school teacher, accepts the call, joining forces with a scientist and his estranged son to try to rescue the future of humanity.
