A number of directors have attempted to make Kishore Kumar biopics. Shoojit Sircar and Anurag Basu are two of the most well-known. But nothing worked out, though. Kishore Kumar’s son Amit Kumar says that “It was always my intention that we do the biopic. After all who knows him (Kishore Kumar) better than his family?”
Prod the sweetheart. More about the biopic, Amit Kumar says that “We’re about to start shooting the interviews with our family about my father.”
Amit Kumar believes that the filming will take some time. “We know that the script will take at least a year to develop. It’s a lot of hard work, and a long journey ahead.”
Regarding other directors interested in doing a biopic on the legendary iconic singer, Anurag Basu stated that his version, which is currently stalled due to legal issues, will certainly feature Ranbir Kapoor since the Barfi actor is his first option.
However, it has been years since there has been any news on this front. Let’s see who will play Kishore Kumar in Amit Kumar’s remake of the film.
