Jungkook Creates History: ‘Seven’ Gets 2.4 Billion Spotify Streams

by Ratan Srivastava

‘BTS’ golden maknae Jungkook continues to break boundaries, even while fulfilling his mandatory military service. His global chart-topper Seven (feat. Latto) has now become the fastest song by an Asian act to surpass 2.4 billion streams on Spotify, as of July 8. That’s not just a K-pop record—it’s a global triumph.

The song, released in July 2023 as part of Jungkook’s debut solo album Golden, has now found a place among the top 80 most-streamed songs of all time on Spotify. Its daily stream count—hovering around 1.8 million—demonstrates just how strong Jungkook’s musical hold is, even in his absence.

What sets this feat apart is that Seven isn’t just the highest-streamed song by an Asian soloist—it also holds the title of the longest-charting Asian song on Billboard’s Global 200 and Global Excl. US charts, spending over 102 and 103 weeks respectively.

With just one solo album and a few singles to his name, Jungkook has cemented his place as a global music force. As the second anniversary of Seven nears, it’s clear this milestone is more than a number—it’s a moment that marks his unmatched crossover success.
