Tiger Shroff Shooting: 3 Gunmen Fire at His BMW in Juhu
Tiger Shroff escaped bullet wounds after three gunmen fired at his BMW in Juhu. Police probe an alleged Bishnoi gang audio tied to Salman Khan.

Tiger Shroff narrowly escaped an alleged assassination attempt in Mumbai’s Juhu neighbourhood on Sunday, October 18, after three men opened fire at his BMW as he left a football game. The actor avoided a bullet wound, but the attack left his driver and an autorickshaw driver injured, and it has reignited uncomfortable questions about celebrity security in Bollywood.
What happened in Juhu
According to preliminary reports, three assailants arrived on a motorcycle; two approached the vehicle and fired while a third waited. Shroff was not hit by a bullet, but he suffered injuries from gunpowder and shattered glass, while his driver Firdous was struck in the left hand and autorickshaw driver Umesh Chavan in the chest. Shroff and Firdous were taken to Nanavati Hospital, and Chavan was admitted to Cooper Hospital.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde later visited the actor and said Shroff and his mother were shaken by the attack. Police detained one suspect on Monday as the search for the others continued.
An unverified gang claim
An audio message circulating online, allegedly from a man identifying himself as Anil Pandit, claimed the attack on behalf of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The speaker reportedly accused Shroff of ignoring earlier warnings and continuing to associate with Salman Khan, and warned others in the industry to keep away from the superstar.
Mumbai Police have not authenticated the recording, and the gang’s involvement remains unconfirmed. That distinction matters: the audio could be genuine, or someone could be borrowing a feared name to create chaos.
Why Salman Khan sits at the centre
The feud stretches back to a 1998 blackbuck poaching case involving Salman Khan during the filming of Hum Saath-Saath Hain in Rajasthan. The blackbuck is revered by the Bishnoi community, and Khan was convicted in 2018 and sentenced to five years in prison before being granted bail.
Lawrence Bishnoi, a Punjab-born gangster who remains behind bars, has repeatedly invoked that case and demanded an apology. His network has been linked to the 2022 killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala and to the April 2024 firing outside Khan’s Galaxy Apartments residence in Bandra. The Bishnoi community’s genuine wildlife protection tradition is separate from the criminal activities attributed to the gang.
Baba Siddique and the pattern police are probing
Former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, known for his closeness to Bollywood, was shot dead in Bandra East on October 12, 2024. A chargesheet filed in January 2025 alleged that the gang considered targeting people close to Khan because the actor’s own security made a direct approach difficult, and that Siddique was chosen partly for that closeness. Those are police allegations, not a final judicial finding.
What the industry is saying
The All Indian Cine Workers Association voiced the fear behind many conversations this week: “Today it is Tiger Shroff. Who is next? When a celebrity is not safe in the heart of Mumbai, how can an ordinary Mumbaikar feel safe?” The Federation of Western India Cine Employees has demanded stronger security for Shroff and his family.
For now, the immediate focus is investigation:
- Mumbai Police are examining CCTV footage and tracing the suspects.
- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has reportedly asked for a thorough inquiry.
- There is no verified evidence that every associate of Salman Khan faces a specific threat.
What comes next
The shooting may or may not be another chapter in the Bishnoi conflict; police are still establishing the facts. What is already clear is that a decades-old wildlife case has become entangled with threats, organised crime and now a brazen attack on a young star in Mumbai. Bollywood’s action sequences are make-believe; the concern outside the sets is real.
