Mumbai Police deploy 15 teams after Tiger Shroff car firing

Mumbai Police have turned Sunday evening’s shooting near Juhu’s Pushpa Narsee Park into a large-scale manhunt. An FIR has been registered against three unidentified accused, and 15 specialised teams are now tracing the shooters after gunmen on a motorcycle fired at Tiger Shroff’s car.

What the FIR says

Investigators filed the case under Sections 109(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with Sections 3 and 25 of the Arms Act. The three accused have not been named yet, and the police are working to establish their identities.

The response is unusual in its scale. Fifteen dedicated teams are reportedly looking at forensic evidence, CCTV footage and possible escape routes, and technical surveillance is being used to trace the men.

How the Juhu firing unfolded

According to a Mumbai Police statement shared with ANI, the actor was returning from a football session in his car when the attack took place. The gunmen arrived on a motorcycle, fired several rounds at the vehicle, and fled.

Tiger Shroff escaped direct bullet injuries. Some reports suggested he had minor abrasions from broken glass, while his driver, Firdosh, was hit in the left arm. An autorickshaw driver in the area was injured as well. Both injured men were taken to Nanavati Hospital in Vile Parle; Firdosh was stabilised and kept under medical observation.

What the investigators are checking

  • An FIR against three unknown accused under BNS and Arms Act provisions.
  • 15 specialised teams working on the case.
  • CCTV footage, shell casings and escape routes under examination.
  • An unverified social media message linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi syndicate being reviewed.

Police are also trying to establish whether the assailants had watched the actor’s movements before the firing. No motive has been confirmed, and the social media claim remains unverified.

The incident has drawn attention from Maharashtra’s political leadership. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis reportedly contacted the Mumbai Police Commissioner to press for a swift investigation, and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde later visited Shroff’s residence.

Why the case matters

A firing aimed at a working actor in a busy Mumbai neighbourhood is not just a film-industry headline; it is a public safety story. Juhu is used to celebrity traffic, and the sight of armed men on a motorcycle is exactly the kind of threat the police cannot let go unanswered. The 15-team investigation says the city is treating it seriously, even while the motive is still unknown.

For now, the important details are what has been confirmed: the actor is safe, two people were hurt, and the search for the accused is underway. Everything else is investigation.
