Scene’s 45-second teaser turns Naslen into Eeswaran

Suriya's Scene gives Naslen a Tamil debut as Eeswaran, a lollipop-carrying villain, in a 45-second teaser ahead of the November 6 release.

Suriya's Scene unveils 45-second Eeswaran teaser

Suriya’s third theatrical release of 2026 now has a face for its villain. On October 22, the team behind Scene dropped a 45-second character teaser introducing Naslen as Eeswaran, the primary antagonist of the action comedy. Directed by Aavesham director Jithu Madhavan, the film opens in theatres on November 6, 2026.

Naslen’s Tamil debut has a sweet, sinister edge

The teaser shows Eeswaran as a cheerful young man who can switch from disarming charm to cold menace. In one exchange, Suriya’s character Inbaraj describes the group’s search for a “faceless” enemy; the reveal lands on Eeswaran, lollipop in hand, unmoved. It is a short, effective introduction that makes the villain feel like part of the film’s humour rather than a generic threat.

The teaser’s framing works because it withholds Eeswaran’s menace. He is introduced mid-conversation, all ease, and the reveal is not a fight or a monologue but a small prop: a lollipop. That visual shorthand lets the teaser do its job in under a minute, telling fans the enemy is playful, unpredictable and not easy to read.

The moment matters beyond the tease. This is Naslen’s first Tamil film, after building a following in Malayalam cinema, and it gives Scene a second reason to stand out as Suriya’s third big-screen release this year.

What we know about Scene

In an interview with Vikatan, Jithu Madhavan laid out the premise: a former officer is assigned to track down an old identity. He has no team, so he builds one from a group of unconventional people. The case gets tougher when their rival unit turns out to be highly organised.

  • Release: November 6, 2026
  • Director: Jithu Madhavan, known for Aavesham
  • Music: Sushin Shyam, whose energetic track powers the teaser
  • Cast: Suriya, Naslen, Nazriya Nazim Fahadh, Anandaraj, Lal, John Vijay, Raj Priyan and Mathialaghan

The director described Scene as a story families can enjoy together, rooted in the relationships inside this odd investigative unit and the humour that follows its missteps.

What’s next for the two leads

After Scene, Suriya is attached to SuriyaXHombale, also referred to as Suriya 48, directed by TJ Gnanavel and backed by Hombale Films. Naslen, meanwhile, has Bachelor Party Deux coming up with Kunchacko Boban, Soubin Shahir and Tovino Thomas.

For now, the Eeswaran teaser gives audiences a clear reason to queue up on November 6: a villain who can smile while the hero hunts him.
