Ranveer Singh Brings Bollywood Flair to Nita Ambani’s Garba Night
Ranveer Singh danced Garba with Nita Ambani at the first-anniversary celebration of Swadesh Eros in Mumbai on October 10, wearing a pink floral ensemble.

Ranveer Singh used the eve of Navratri to do what he does best: turn a gathering into a performance. At a Mumbai celebration on October 10, a video captured him dancing Garba with Reliance Foundation founder-chairperson Nita Ambani, the two moving in step as the first-anniversary event for Swadesh Eros got underway.
A store anniversary with a festive purpose
Swadesh Eros is Reliance Foundation’s flagship store focused on India’s traditional arts and crafts. Its first anniversary was hosted by Nita Ambani, and the evening was centred on Devi Shakti ahead of the nine-day Navratri festival. That mix of craft, faith and celebration set a warm tone before the actual festive calendar began.
For the entertainment audience, the room was as much a story as the dancing. The guest list included:
- Sanjay Dutt
- Aamir Khan
- Kriti Sanon
- Sara Ali Khan
- Aditi Rao Hydari
- Shanaya Kapoor
- Rashmika Mandanna
- Farah Khan
- Jacqueline Fernandez
In the clip doing the rounds online, Ranveer leans into the Garba with the freewheeling energy audiences associate with him. Nita Ambani matches him step for step, and their cheerful exchange quickly became the moment fans pulled out of the evening.
Ranveer’s festive look
He made a statement without abandoning the occasion’s roots. Ranveer wore a pink ethnic ensemble: a floral-embroidered jacket layered over a matching kurta, with white bottoms below. Tinted sunglasses and his signature diamond studs finished it off, which made the look distinctly his while staying in the Navratri spirit.
Why this public outing stands out
Ranveer has kept a comparatively low profile in recent months. He and Deepika Padukone recently welcomed their second daughter, and he had stepped out only occasionally since Dhurandhar: The Revenge. That makes the Swadesh Eros appearance feel less like a routine event sighting and more like a festive return to public view.
The timing helps. Navratri this year begins on October 11 and wraps with Dussehra on October 20. Garba nights, prayers and music will now dominate the cultural calendar, and a Bollywood star joining in makes the festival feel immediate for younger fans who follow both the stars and the season.
What’s next for him
After the celebrations, the actor will go back to a very different world. He is preparing for Pralay, a post-apocalyptic thriller directed by Jai Mehta, son of filmmaker Hansal Mehta. Set in a dystopian Mumbai, the film also stars Kalyani Priyadarshan and follows his last screen outing, Dhurandhar: The Revenge.
