Ranabaali's 4-Day India Cume Reaches Rs 30.75 Crore

Monday slide sets the tone

Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s Ranabaali is finding the weekday test difficult. The Rahul Sankrityan-directed period action drama collected Rs 5.75 crore on its first Monday, a 35 per cent fall from its opening day, taking its four-day India gross to Rs 30.75 crore, according to trade estimates.

The Telugu-speaking markets did most of the heavy lifting. Of the four-day total, around Rs 25.75 crore came from the film’s home turf, while the rest of India added roughly Rs 5 crore.

Where the film’s money is coming from

  • Nizam: Rs 12.75 crore
  • Andhra: Rs 9.50 crore
  • Ceded: Rs 3.50 crore
  • Rest of India: around Rs 5 crore

Monday matters because it is the first day without the cushion of advance bookings and opening-day urgency. A drop of this size signals that the film has not yet converted its initial interest into broader audience pull.

Why word-of-mouth is the villain

Trade reports point to average word-of-mouth as the main drag. For a star-driven film, that feedback loop is everything: good reactions would have turned an initial rush into repeat viewing and weekday footfall. Instead, the trajectory points to a disappointing finish.

Set during the Great Madras Famine of 1876–1878, Ranabaali is an alternate-history action drama about a rebel warrior fighting a ruthless commissioner. The period setting gives it visual scale, but scale alone is not enough if audiences leave the theatre unmoved.

What to watch next

Box-office figures are trade estimates, not final certified collections. The next meaningful checkpoint is whether Ranabaali stabilises through the working week or continues to slide. For now, the Monday number has set a sobering tone for its lifetime total.
