Rakul Preet Singh Wore Rs 2.75 Lakh Itrh Saree
Rakul Preet Singh wore an Itrh bronze-gold tissue saree and ice-blue zardozi blouse priced at Rs 2.75 lakh for the Ramayana trailer launch in Bengaluru.

Rakul Preet Singh turned the international trailer launch of Ramayana: Rise of a Legend in Bengaluru into a fashion moment. Styled by celebrity stylist Ami Patel, she wore a two-piece ensemble from homegrown luxury label Itrh priced at Rs 2.75 lakh, as confirmed by the brand to ETimes.
The look, piece by piece
Rather than heavy film-event dressing, Rakul chose a restrained silhouette with one strong contrast at its centre.
- The saree: a bronze-gold tissue drape with a finely embroidered border and a fluid fall.
- The blouse: an ice-blue zardozi piece finished with a mirror-detail jhallar.
- The jewellery: gold kadas and statement earrings from Jagdish Jewellers and Razwada Jewels.
- The price: the saree and blouse together cost Rs 2.75 lakh, confirmed by Itrh.
Why the styling works
The outfit is a study in understated luxury with an Indian accent. The metallic tissue and zardozi embroidery carry the traditional glamour, while the ice-blue blouse cools down the look and keeps the bronze-gold from feeling flat. That warm-and-cool contrast is the real styling hook, and the mirror-detail jhallar gives the ensemble a contemporary edge without shouting.
For a global trailer launch, that visibility matters. A homegrown label like Itrh gets placement in front of an international audience without a loud logo; the craft itself is the branding. Rakul’s choice also points to a wider shift in celebrity styling, where one well-made textile and precise tailoring often carry the moment more effectively than layers of embellishment.
Itrh is a couture and occasion-wear label founded by Ridhi Bansal and Mohit Rai. Its name comes from ‘ittar’, meaning perfume, and the label is known for a craft-led, maximalist sensibility — making this comparatively quiet styling feel like a deliberate statement.
Take the cue for your own wardrobe
You do not need the same price tag to borrow the formula. Anchor a festive look in one warm metallic textile, balance it with a cool-toned embroidered blouse, and keep jewellery to statement kadas or earrings rather than layering too many pieces. Avoid a heavy necklace over high-neck zardozi work, because the embroidery is already the focal point.
Beyond the look: Rakul’s Ramayana turn
At the event, Rakul spoke about playing Surpanakha in Nitesh Tiwari’s two-part cinematic adaptation. She remembered Bengaluru as the city where her first film happened and told the audience, ‘Bangalore is a very special place for me.’ She also praised her co-stars Sai Pallavi, Ranbir Kapoor and Yash, adding, ‘Ramayana is so close to the hearts of each and every one of us.’
Ramayana: Rise of a Legend is produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in collaboration with DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations.
