Spirit 40% Complete as Prabhas Rearranges for Fauzi
Fauzi moves off its December 3 date to an early 2027 window, while Spirit's shoot crosses 40 per cent. Prabhas is rebalancing both.

Prabhas reshuffles his date diary
Prabhas is simplifying a crowded calendar by making Fauzi the priority. The actor will move between the sets of Fauzi and Spirit, but Fauzi takes the lead because it is expected in theatres first. That order is not new: Fauzi was always meant to arrive earlier, while Spirit started filming later.
The plan is to push Fauzi towards completion without letting Spirit stall. Both films stay in motion, but Fauzi gets the larger share of his schedule in the coming months.
Why Fauzi moved
Fauzi’s release was postponed from December 3. The makers have described it as a Baahubali-style spectacle for Prabhas, with extensive post-production, large-scale shooting and ambitious visual work behind the delay. An early 2027 theatrical window is now the expectation.
Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, Fauzi tells an alternate version of Karna’s story, imagining him joining the Pandavas. It is Prabhas’s first film with the director.
Spirit keeps pace
Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is also Prabhas’s first collaboration with Vanga. The production has finished nearly 40 per cent of shoot since cameras rolled in November 2025.
- Around 50 shooting days completed.
- Another 65 days still pending.
- Vanga is aiming to finish the film in 115 to 120 shooting days.
The Mumbai schedule has begun, but Prabhas has not joined yet because he is occupied with Fauzi. The unit is currently filming scenes that do not require him. That gives Fauzi the room to move forward while Spirit advances on parallel tracks.
For fans, the calendar tells a simple story: the earlier release sets the tempo. Prabhas is spending his time where the next release deadline is, not where the buzz is loudest. That discipline is the real news here.
