Jailer 2 Super Show Streams on Sun NXT on October 9
Rajinikanth's Jailer 2 pre-release event, called Super Show, will stream on Sun NXT on October 9, six days before the film's October 15 theatre release.
Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 is taking its pre-release buzz to streaming first. The film’s star-studded Super Show will premiere on Sun NXT on October 9, 2026—nearly a week before the sequel opens in theatres on October 15, 2026.
How to watch Jailer 2 Super Show
The makers confirmed the digital date through their official social media handle. Fans can catch the event on Sun NXT from October 9. This is the pre-release show, not the film itself, so it is a chance to see the cast come together and build context for the sequel.
The Super Show will feature Rajinikanth alongside SJ Suryah, Vidya Balan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Ramya Krishnan and several other cast members.
What Jailer 2 is about
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer 2 follows retired warden “Tiger” Muthuvel Pandian. His quiet life away from a violent past is shattered when a dangerous empire threatens his family and legacy. To uncover the forces behind the threat, Muthuvel goes undercover as a driver and infiltrates the group to trace its chain of command from within. As he gets closer to the operation’s powerful figures, he is forced to revive his lethal skills and call on old allies.
Rajinikanth reprises his role from the first film. Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Jackie Shroff and Mirnaa return, while Suryah, Suraj, Vidya Balan, Mithun Chakraborty and others join in new roles.

Why the Super Show matters
For fans, the streaming event turns a single-venue pre-release moment into a global watch party. It also gives the film an early conversation starter before its theatrical run, especially with the sequel’s expanded cast and cameo lineup.
After Jailer 2, Rajinikanth’s slate includes the action entertainer Dharman, directed by Ashwath Marimuthu and co-produced by Kamal Haasan, and the tentatively titled KHxRK, which reunites Rajinikanth with Kamal Haasan after four decades.
