Gauahar Khan sold her Versova duplex for Rs 6.01 crore, documents show—a near 88% gain over the Rs 3.2 crore she paid in 2014.

Gauahar Khan's Versova duplex sells at 88% gain

A 12-year property play closes at a near-double

Gauahar Khan has sold her duplex apartment in Mumbai’s Versova for Rs 6.01 crore, according to property registration documents reviewed by real estate data firm CRE Matrix. The transaction was registered on September 24, 2026.

The two-floor apartment is in Versova Shiv Kutir Co-operative Housing Society Ltd., S.V.P. Nagar, Andheri West. It sits on a higher floor and carries a super built-up area of 2,340 sq ft, with a built-up area of 1,872 sq ft. The documents do not list any car parking as part of the sale.

Khan originally bought the duplex in November 2014 for Rs 3.2 crore. At the recorded consideration of Rs 6.01 crore, the value rose by Rs 2.81 crore over nearly 12 years—an appreciation of about 88% on the original purchase price.

Reading the per-square-foot numbers

The registration documents let us view the deal two ways. On the built-up area, the sale works out to approximately Rs 32,100 per sq ft. On the larger super built-up area, it comes to around Rs 25,700 per sq ft.

  • Sale price: Rs 6.01 crore
  • Purchase price: Rs 3.2 crore in November 2014
  • Recorded gain: Rs 2.81 crore, about 88%
  • Stamp duty paid by buyers: Rs 36.06 lakh

These are consideration-value figures, so they reflect what was recorded in the documents rather than a broader market valuation.

Versova’s celebrity real-estate streak

The Versova-Andheri West belt has become a familiar address in entertainment-property headlines. In June 2024, Ronit Roy and Neelam Roy purchased a 4,258 sq ft apartment in Lodha Versova for Rs 18.94 crore, with four car parking spaces included. Randeep Hooda bought a 1,530 sq ft apartment in Bianca CHS, Versova, for Rs 5.63 crore, a deal reported in June 2025. More recently, in July 2026, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, along with family members, picked up multiple apartments in Godrej Skyshore, Versova, for more than Rs 43 crore.

For readers who follow stars as closely as their releases, a property document is a quieter kind of box-office report. It shows where talent is putting its money, how long it holds, and what an exit looks like when the market cooperates.

Khan’s sale is a case study in patient ownership. A well-located Mumbai duplex bought in 2014 and sold in 2026 returned close to double over roughly a dozen years, even before factoring in any rental income or holding costs. The deal does not predict the next celebrity transaction, but it does help explain why the Versova pocket keeps showing up in property registers.
