Ayushmann Khurrana and Tahira Kashyap turned their Mumbai home into one of the season’s most talked-about Diwali addresses. Their celebration pulled together actors, filmmakers, producers and designers from across Hindi cinema.
A dance floor full of familiar faces
Tahira shared a glimpse of the night on Instagram. The video shows Ayushmann dancing with his Bareilly Ki Barfi co-star Rajkummar Rao, and Bhumi Pednekar matching steps with Tahira. Karan Johar, Twinkle Khanna, Shilpa Shetty and Manish Malhotra posed with the hosts.

Sharing the video, Tahira wrote that Diwali for the couple has always been about family and friends, and that Mumbai’s friends have become their extended family.

Why the timing matters for Ayushmann
The party came just two days after Udta Teer opened in theatres on October 23. Directed by Aakash A Kaushik in his directorial debut, the spy comedy stars Ayushmann with Sara Ali Khan and is backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment. Ayushmann has also been seen in Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, alongside Sara, Wamiqa Gabbi and Rakul Preet Singh.
A festive night this close to a release doubles as a relaxed show of support among collaborators, and the presence of his Udta Teer backers and co-stars made that connection easy to read.
A partnership built long before stardom
The Diwali photos are also another chapter in a long personal story. Ayushmann and Tahira met as teenagers at a tuition class in Chandigarh, married in 2008 before his Vicky Donor debut in 2012, and now share two children, son Virajveer and daughter Varushka. Tahira has carved out her own career as a writer and filmmaker.
