Aasif Khan’s Wife Reveals His Massive Heart Attack at 34

Zeba speaks out after Bigg Boss 20 clash: Aasif Khan's massive heart attack at 34, why he first said GERD, and death and rape threats against the family.

Aasif Khan's wife reveals his massive heart attack at 34

Zeba, the wife of Bigg Boss 20 contestant Aasif Khan, has spoken publicly about his health after an on-air clash turned into a wave of online abuse. In a written statement, she confirmed that Aasif had a “massive” heart attack at 34 and explained why he first called the episode gastroesophageal reflux disease, or GERD.

The row started when Aasif and fellow contestant Qazi Touqeer argued over a comment about a heart attack. The confrontation became physical, with Aasif headbutting Qazi, and it pushed viewers into a wider debate about Aasif’s medical history and the remark that triggered him.

Zeba: ‘Yes, Aasif had a heart attack’

Zeba said she initially stayed silent, hoping the controversy would settle. The negativity aimed at Aasif made that impossible. “Having witnessed Aasif’s pain firsthand, I feel I owe it to him and our family to share the truth,” she wrote.

She was direct about the diagnosis: “Yes, Aasif had a heart attack. A massive one. At just 34.”

Zeba said it breaks her heart that medical records now have to be shared just to make people believe him. She recalled being told Aasif’s main coronary artery was completely blocked, the ICU, the stent, and holding him as he cried, afraid of losing the future he had dreamed of.

Because Aasif lost his father to a heart attack as a child, she wrote, surviving his own emergency brought back the fear of leaving his family behind.

Why he first called it GERD

Zeba explained that Aasif’s original description of the scare as GERD was born from fear. In an industry where opportunities can be uncertain, especially without backing, she said he worried a serious cardiac condition could cost him projects he had worked hard for and close doors to future work.

That fear, she said, was real, and it shaped what he told people at the time.

Threats and a request for empathy

Zeba said the response has gone beyond criticism. “We have faced vile abuse, death threats against Aasif and rape threats against our family,” she wrote. “Nothing can justify this.”

She asked when entertainment became an excuse for cruelty and urged viewers to separate opinion from personal attacks.

For fans who follow Bigg Boss as much for its human drama as its tasks, the statement shifts the focus from one physical spat to a larger question: how much of a contestant’s private life should become public property once they enter the house. It also puts the real-world consequences of online pile-ons back in the frame.

  • Aasif had a massive heart attack at 34, with a fully blocked main coronary artery.
  • He was treated in the ICU and received a stent.
  • He initially described the event as GERD out of career fear.
  • Zeba alleges death threats against Aasif and rape threats against the family.

Zeba ended with a call for empathy: “Please choose empathy. Please choose kindness. No disagreement should ever come at the cost of basic human decency.” Every contestant, she said, is a real person with a family and a life beyond the cameras.
