Seth Rogen is indeed a comedian, actor, writer, producer, as well as director from Canada. He began his career as a stand-up comedian in Vancouver before moving to Los Angeles for a role in Judd Apatow’s series Freaks and Geeks. He later landed a role in the sitcom Undeclared, where he also worked as a writer. Apatow steered Rogen toward a movie career after getting a job as a staff writer on the very last season of the Da Ali G Show. He was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for such a Variety Series while working as a staff writer.

His first film performance was in Donnie Darko when he played a tiny role (2001). In Apatow’s directorial debut, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Rogen played a supporting part and also was recognised as a co-producer. Following that, he starred in Apatow’s comedies Knocked Up and Funny People for Universal Pictures.

In 2015, Rogen co-starred in Universal’s Steve Jobs movie as Steve Wozniak. With his creative partner Evan Goldberg and Sam Catlin, he devised the AMC television series Preacher in 2016. He also collaborates with Goldberg as a writer, executive producer, as well as director.

Rogen and Goldberg co-wrote, helmed, as well as co-wrote the movies Superbad, Pineapple Express, The Green Hornet, and This Is the End, all of which Rogen appeared in. He’s previously done voiceover work for Shrek the Third, Horton Hears a Who!, the Kung Fu Panda movie franchise, The Spiderwick Chronicles, Monsters vs. Aliens, Paul, Sausage Party, and Pumbaa inside the 2019 Lion King adaptation.

Rogen has become a vocal advocate for Alzheimer’s disease awareness. His wife’s family is impacted by the sickness, which has been affecting his mother-in-law for some years.

“You really don’t realise how painful it can be until you see it,” she says. During the conversation, he discussed how he tries to be emotionally supportive and is for Miller’s mother as much as possible. He and Miller both appeared on Larry King’s Unthinkable: The Alzheimer’s Epidemic special, which aired in April 2011. On February 26, 2014, Rogen spoke before the United States Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health, as well as Human Services about just the condition and his charity.
