As per the latest reports coming in, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is all set to reprise his role of god in his forthcoming Bollywood movie ‘Oh My God 2’. It is a sequel to the Super Hit movie ‘Oh My God’. Read below to know more in detail.
This time it’s a twist as Bollywood superstar will be pairing with one of the most talented and trending actor Pankaj Tripathi. Yes, you heard it right! Pankaj will be sharing screen space with “Khiladi Kumar of Bollywood.”. He will be replacing actor Paresh Rawal who accompanied Akshay in “Oh My God”. Talking about the movie ‘Oh My God’ is a hit movie directed by Umesh Shukla. It starred Paresh Rawal, blaming God for the loss of his property.
Now part 2 will be directed by Amit Rai and said to release in the following year in the August end tentatively. The source also informed that the cast members are finalised, and Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi will be accompanied by the Bollywood actress Yami Gautam. The shooting schedule is to start with lead actors Yami and Pankaj initially. This will be followed by Akshay Kumar, who will start shooting next month.
But, the buzz around the ‘Oh My God’ sequel is that Khiladi Kumar has given 15 days from his busy schedule to the film and to play to the character of God in part 2. Like in the first part, Akshay will have a crucial role to play in the sequel.
Taking about the film’s story, it will be a fresh new story for the sequel as Pankaj Tripathi is replacing Paresh Rawal. As Akshay Kumar being a perfectionist, he has made a rule of working in a film from between 30 to 354 days only. But for a movie like ‘Oh My God 2’ he will only shoot for 15 to 20 days. However, the official announcement is still yet to be made.
Talking about 53 year old actor’s schedule for the next month, i.e., August. He is fully packed as Akshay Kumar will shoot for an action thriller. This is followed by the Ram Setu directed by Abhishek Sharma alongside hard-working actresses like Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha. After that, he has to wrap up soon ‘Raksha Bandhan’ opposite Bhumi Pednekar and directed by Anand L Rai.
