Following Bheed, Rajkummar Rao reunites with Anubhav Sinha for a pandemic anthology

Rajkummar Rao is a name that needs no introduction. The Hamari Adhuri Kahani actor has given some stunning performances throughout the course of his ten-year career and has collaborated with a number of renowned filmmakers. And, although he’s been enjoying the success of his most recent film, Badhaai Do, it’s been claimed that he’s finished filming his next film, Bheed. Bheed, directed by Anubhav Sinha, is billed as a social drama. Despite the fact that Bheed is yet to be released, Rajkummar and Anubhav will be working together again soon, according to a new report.

According to a story published in Mid Day, the actor-director combo would reunite for an anthology set in the aftermath of the epidemic. “When Anubhav shared the premise of his short film with Raj, it resonated with him. The director felt Raj is someone who connects with the movie on a personal level. Casting is key for Anubhav, and he almost always knows from the get-go who he is envisioning in the role. He felt Raj was the perfect choice for the part,” a source was quoted saying.

This anthology, which has been produced by Anubhav Sinha, will include short films by Sudhir Mishra, Hansal Mehta, and Ketan Mehta, among others. Sudhir Mishra has already announced that Taapsee Pannu and Parambrata Chatterjee will star in his short movie. Taapsee expressed her excitement to collaborate with Sudhir Mishra and disclosed that the short film will become a socio-political drama spanning two generations.
