Ramayana Advance Booking Tops Rs 75 Crore Worldwide
Ramayana: Rise of a Legend has grossed about Rs 75 crore in worldwide advance bookings ahead of its November 5 release, led by Hindi shows.

Three days before Ramayana: Rise of a Legend opens in cinemas, the advance booking window is already turning into a box office story of its own. Trade figures shared by Sacnilk on Monday morning put the worldwide pre-sales at approximately Rs 75 crore.
Advance booking has become one of the clearest early signals in Indian exhibition. It does not guarantee a hit, but it tells theatres where demand is rising and helps trade watchers set expectations before the first public shows.
Ramayana advance booking: the numbers so far
As of 11 am on Monday, the film had sold about 9 lakh tickets in India, with the domestic advance gross at Rs 47.62 crore. Excluding blocked seats, the net domestic advance stood at Rs 38.03 crore from 9.02 lakh tickets.
Those ticket sales came from 36,211 shows across 532 Indian cities. Since the 6 am cut-off on Monday alone, the film added Rs 1.66 crore.
- Domestic advance gross: Rs 47.62 crore
- Tickets sold in India: 9.02 lakh
- Net of blocked seats: Rs 38.03 crore
- Overseas advance: $3.9 million
- Worldwide total: about Rs 75 crore
Why the language split matters
The Hindi version is leading ticket sales, according to the trade report, while Kannada and Telugu are now gaining momentum. That is the trajectory to watch: a pan-India mythological release lives or dies on how strongly the non-Hindi versions hold through the weekend.
Overseas, the film has banked $3.9 million in advance bookings, including more than $1.5 million from paid previews in the US alone. Paid previews are an especially useful early test because audiences are paying to watch before the official opening day.
The production house has positioned this as an event release, with the first film arriving in multiple languages and the second part already dated. For the trade, an advance figure of this scale is less about one record and more about the width of the opening: 532 cities is a wide base before a single review is out.
What to do before November 5
If you want a good seat in the first weekend, book now rather than waiting for opening day. The Hindi shows are moving fastest, but the Kannada and Telugu versions are picking up, so fans in those markets should check their local listings.
The Nitesh Tiwari-directed epic stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita and Yash as Ravana, with music by Oscar-winning composers A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer. Produced by Namit Malhotra and Yash under Prime Focus Studios, Monster Mind Creations and DNEG, the two-part saga opens worldwide on November 5; the second part is planned for Diwali 2027.
