Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt Mark First Karwa Chauth Together
Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt stepped out for their first Karwa Chauth at Anil Kapoor's Mumbai home, joined by Sonam Kapoor and Varun Dhawan.
Aamir Khan’s third marriage made headlines as a quiet July affair. On Thursday evening, the actor and his wife Gauri Spratt gave fans a more festive view of that new chapter, arriving at Anil Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor’s Mumbai residence for their first Karwa Chauth together.
The celebration turned into a Bollywood reunion in traditional wear, with the couple at the centre of the frame.
Festive looks set the tone
Aamir kept his look relaxed in a deep blue floral kurta paired with his signature harem pants. Gauri chose a purple brocade sharara set, and the two paused outside the Kapoor home for photographers before heading inside.
A guest list full of familiar faces
The Kapoor residence drew several stars from across the industry:
- Gauri Khan, Varun Dhawan and Sonam Kapoor were among the arrivals.
- Maheep Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Bhavna Panday and Chunky Panday joined the festive gathering.
- Anshula Kapoor and Rohan Thakkar also marked their first Karwa Chauth at the same residence.
That made the evening a double first for the extended Kapoor circle.
Why the moment resonates
Karwa Chauth is traditionally observed by married women in parts of India as a fast for their husband’s long life. The festival is woven into Bollywood storytelling, but recent years have made it just as visible on red carpets, paparazzi line-ups and Instagram feeds.
For Aamir and Gauri, it was their first festival after an intimate July wedding. The public arrival at a family gathering offered a softer look at a star who has often kept personal milestones private.
Beyond the Kapoor house
Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani shared their own Karwa Chauth celebration on social media, and Tahira Kashyap Khurrana and Ayushmann Khurrana gave fans a glimpse of how they marked the day. Across Mumbai, the evening was once again a reminder that tradition and celebrity visibility now travel together.
