Sai Pallavi Wants a Partner Who Cooks, Owns His Mistakes
On Kaun Banega Crorepati 18, Sai Pallavi told Amitabh Bachchan she wants a good man who owns his mistakes—and knows how to cook—ahead of Ramayana Part 1.

It was a question about marriage, but Sai Pallavi’s answer sounded more like a job description for a genuinely decent human. On the latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 18, host Amitabh Bachchan asked the actor what she looks for in a life partner—and her checklist was refreshingly free of filmi pressure.
A short list, but a solid one
Sai’s answer began with the basics. “Pehle achche insaan hone chahiye,” she said, as quoted by Hindustan Times: first, he should be a good man. He should not be self-centred. He should be introspective, the kind of person who reviews his own actions.
- Not self-centred
- Introspective and self-aware
- Makes mistakes but mends them
- Does not blame others
- Bonus: knows how to cook
Then came the line that warmed the studio: a good person is the requirement, but it would be better if he also knows how to cook.
The promotion setting
Sai was on the KBC couch with Ramayana co-stars Ranbir Kapoor and Ravie Dubey. The conversation is part of the final promotional stretch for Ramayana Part 1, which opens on November 5. The same episode gave Ranbir a moment of comedy when Sai said that God wrote it that she acts. “Bhagwan ka prescription tha Sir,” Ranbir added, and the audience cheered.
Why the answer landed
The KBC platform matters here. It puts a big-budget mythological film in front of a family audience that may not follow trade news, and lets the cast speak directly about values rather than ticket sales. Sai’s answer, unhurried and specific, did more for her image than a standard trailer quote would.
For an audience already picturing Sai as Sita, her words on accountability and self-reflection matched the values of the character she is bringing to screen. It is a small media moment, but it gives fans a sense of who she is off the stage: serious about choices, open about faith, and not performing for headlines.
She also spoke about her unusual way of approaching the Sita role. She said she did not want to use her head this time. Instead of asking what she could give to the character, she asked what she could gain from playing Sita Maa. She prayed and went forward with it.
What to watch next
Ramayana Part 1 is directed by Nitesh Tiwari, with Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Ravie Dubey as Lakshmana, Yash as Ravana and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman. The cast also includes Arun Govil, Lara Dutta, Rakul Preet Singh, Kajal Aggarwal and Vivek Oberoi. Reportedly mounted on a ₹4,000 crore budget, it is planned as a two-part franchise.
Part one arrives November 5, 2026, and the second part is expected around Diwali 2027. Until then, every KBC clip and promotional appearance will keep adding to the film’s already massive visibility.
