Sai Pallavi Is Nithya Reddy in OM Chapter 1’s 102-Second Glimpse
A 102-second glimpse from OM Chapter 1 introduces Sai Pallavi as officer Nithya Reddy, leading Operation OM in Dhanush and Mammootty's November 20 release.

Sai Pallavi is stepping into the action arena as Nithya Reddy, an officer who names a covert sandalwood mission after the film itself. A new 102-second glimpse from OM Chapter 1: Udhiram – The Blood Wood sets up her entry and the stakes.
What the glimpse reveals
The clip positions Reddy as an officer following in her father’s footsteps. Her brief is to break the illegal trade in valuable sandalwood, and she calls the operation “OM” as she commits to protecting nature. It is a purposeful character introduction rather than a full trailer, and it gives Sai Pallavi a clear action beat opposite Dhanush and Mammootty.
Who is in OM Chapter 1 and when it arrives
Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, the action drama is headlined by Dhanush and Mammootty. The ensemble also includes Sreeleela and Naseeruddin Shah, with music by Sai Abhyankkar. The film is planned as the first instalment of a two-part franchise.
- Release date: November 20, 2026
- Director: Rajkumar Periasamy
- Key cast: Dhanush, Mammootty, Sai Pallavi, Sreeleela, Naseeruddin Shah
- Music: Sai Abhyankkar
- Franchise plan: First of two parts
The film was originally slotted for October. Dhanush confirmed the move to November, with the team wanting to steer clear of a box-office pile-up with Jailer 2 and Suriya’s Scene, the latter opening November 6, 2026.
Why the timing matters
A November 20 landing gives OM Chapter 1 breathing room after the Diwali and post-Diwali rush. For Sai Pallavi, it also lands close to Ramayana: Part 1, her mythological epic with Ranbir Kapoor and Yash, due November 5, 2026 — two major outings in the same month.
Beyond OM, Dhanush has action entertainer D56 with director Tamizharasan Pachamuthu eyed for summer 2027, with Preity Mukundhan, Vadivelu and SJ Suryah in the cast. He has also announced Thamizh Murugan with Vetrimaaran. Sai Pallavi’s slate includes Inji Vellam with Vijay Sethupathi, directed by Mani Ratnam.
What to watch for next
The first big test is whether the OM team now builds momentum with a full trailer and music drop before November 20. A two-part plan also means the closing stretch of this film needs to leave enough mystery to pull audiences back for chapter two.
