Ramayana Part One nears 2 lakh advance tickets 10 days out

Hindi sales cross 175,000 tickets at national chains; Kannada and Telugu push the total near 2 lakh and weekend advances top Rs 10 crore.

Ramayana Part One nears 2 lakh advance tickets 10 days out

Ramayana Part One went on sale a couple of days ago and has quickly turned early bookings into a box-office talking point. Ten days before release, the Ranbir Kapoor and Yash epic has crossed 175,000 tickets at the two national chains for the Hindi version alone, according to trade tracking cited by Pinkvilla.

Around 90,000 of those tickets are for opening day. When Kannada and Telugu sales are added, the number climbs close to 2 lakh. The Hindi weekend advance has already crossed Rs 10 crore nett, with sales also live in other chains and select single screens in the South.

Why the early window is unusual

Most Indian films do not open ticket sales this far in advance. Ramayana Part One is an exception, which makes its first two days of sales harder to benchmark. The closest comparison available is Dhurandhar: The Revenge, which began early sales eleven days out, but only for previews. In its first two days, that film sold 135,000 tickets.

Advance booking at national chains only captures part of the picture. The bigger leads are still forming across multiplexes, single screens and dubbed versions. For now, Ramayana Part One has a healthy head start.

Box office momentum builds in the last mile

The final stretch matters more than the first burst. Industry tracking typically focuses on the period from the Monday before release through the day before opening. In this case, the day before release could reshape the outlook, depending on how daily sales accelerate.

That is why it makes sense to view the current figure as a floor rather than a forecast. Ramayana Part One is running ahead of the nearest early comparison, but the real test starts when broader weekend sales open for rival films and the final marketing push kicks in.

What we are watching next

  • Daily ticket counts at the two national chains from Monday of release week
  • Kannada and Telugu version sales as dubbed screens expand
  • Final-day momentum, which can shift the opening-day estimate

There is every reason to keep expectations high. A strong early advance shows audiences are locking in seats long before the marketing blitz peaks. The next few days will reveal whether Ramayana Part One converts that intent into a record-scale opening.
