Koffee with Karan S9 E3: Varun, Janhvi spill; Arjun joins

Karan Johar drops the final-season Koffee with Karan episode 3 promo: Varun and Janhvi tease him, while Arjun Kapoor joins the rapid fire.

Koffee with Karan S9 E3: Varun, Janhvi and an Arjun twist

The last season of Koffee with Karan is not easing into farewells quietly. Karan Johar dropped the promo for Season 9, Episode 3 on Saturday, and the teaser frames Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor as guests who will be anything but polite.

Streaming Wednesday at 7pm on The Peacock Hub on JioHotstar, the episode is billed as madness and love in Karan’s own caption, with a very special longstanding guest joining in.

Varun and Janhvi turn the couch on Karan

The promo opens with Karan warning that the two may not stay sanskari on the couch. Varun is soon standing on the table, promising that everyone will find out which two people Karan stopped talking to. Janhvi adds her own punchline: she hints that she gained weight after he stopped talking to her.

Varun also gets a rise out of the filmmaker by claiming Karan has said a lot of “dramatic s**t” — the kind of couch moment that has defined the show’s final-season tone.

Arjun Kapoor crashes the rapid fire

The twist arrives with Arjun Kapoor. Karan introduces him as the special guest, and he joins Varun and Janhvi for the rapid fire segment.

When Karan asks Varun whom he would take career and marriage advice from, Varun picks Arjun without missing a beat. Janhvi, asked for an Instagram account that is giving all the time, names Ravi Kishan and recreates the viral line, “Money follows my brother!”

For viewers, those quickfire choices do a lot of work: they show the guests are there to play, and that the episode leans into the easy, insider energy of people who know Karan well.

Final season, higher stakes

Karan has already said Season 9 will be the last Koffee with Karan. Episode 1 brought Salman Khan to the couch, with Karisma Kapoor in a segment. Episode 2 paired Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, whose conversation about marriage drew backlash online.

Episode 3 keeps the final run moving with a different kind of energy. Here’s what the promo tells us:

  • The guests are on the attack: Varun and Janhvi tease Karan more than each other.
  • Arjun is the rapid-fire wildcard: his late entry gives the segment a fresh dynamic.
  • The tone is chaos with affection: it fits a finale season that can afford to be less guarded.

If the first two episodes were about big reunions and relationship headlines, Episode 3 looks built for fast, funny, low-stakes fun. The actual revelations — including who those two people Karan stopped talking to might be — will only be clear when the full episode drops.

For fans of the show, the Wednesday stream is the appointment. The final season is doing what a good last run should: mixing nostalgia, familiar faces and the kind of couch confessions that made the show appointment viewing in the first place.
