Ramayana: Part One's trailer pushes its forecast higher, while Udta Teer's final day-one range settles at Rs 2.5-4 crore nett.

Ramayana Trailer Lifts Forecast; Udta Teer Final at Rs 2.5-4 Cr

Pinkvilla Predicts is out with a delayed weekly tracking note, and the update runs in two directions. Ramayana: Part One is getting a lift from its new trailer, while Udta Teer is settling into a more modest final range.

Ramayana: trailer resets the conversation

Ramayana: Part One released its trailer last week to what Pinkvilla Predicts describes as an extremely positive response. The team says confidence in the film was already high, but earlier assets had drawn criticism, mostly about VFX. That chatter, the tracking note adds, has now been “silenced” by the new footage.

Advance bookings opened in India two days ago and are off to a superb start. Marketing is also gathering momentum, with multiple events held over the last couple of days. The one caveat is the pre-Diwali release window: it has been a while since a film of this scale arrived during this period, so the team is watching how much that affects opening-day business. Even so, the pinpoint forecast has been raised closer to the high end of the projected range.

Udta Teer: final number inches down

Udta Teer has not done enough to move the needle on buzz heading into its final week. Advance sales are tracking in a similar range to Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, which is broadly in line with expectations. The high end of the projected opening now looks unlikely, so the final forecast has been revised downward to Rs 2.5-4 crore nett from Rs 3-5 crore nett.

  • Ramayana: Part One — trailer response positive, advance bookings superb, forecast raised closer to the high end.
  • Udta Teer — final day-one forecast at Rs 2.5-4 crore nett, with the high end looking unlikely.
  • No new entries have been added to this week’s tracking.

What it signals for the Diwali frame

For fans, these forecasts are an early hint of how the holiday window might play out. Ramayana: Part One now has the stronger momentum, but the pre-Diwali calendar is the known unknown. Udta Teer, by contrast, is being read as a steadier, smaller opener unless word of mouth changes the picture.

As always with Pinkvilla Predicts, these are organic box-office estimates, and inorganic or “fed” numbers are impossible to predict.
