Ajay Devgn's Drishyam The Conclusion posts the franchise's biggest launch with a ₹240 crore opening week, just ₹0.54 crore behind Drishyam 2.

Drishyam The Conclusion posts ₹240 cr opening week, near record

Ajay Devgn’s third outing as Vijay Salgaonkar has turned the Drishyam franchise into a record-setting machine. Drishyam The Conclusion, directed by Abhishek Pathak, collected ₹240 crore in its first seven days at the India box office, according to trade figures reported by Bollywood Hungama. That is the biggest opening week the series has ever posted.

How the week played out

The film arrived on Friday, 2 October with ₹62 crore. A Saturday dip to ₹52 crore could have dented momentum, but Sunday answered with ₹60 crore. That took the opening weekend to ₹174 crore and gave the film a cushion for the weekdays.

Weekday numbers held up better than a routine decline. The film added ₹19 crore on Monday, another ₹19 crore on Tuesday, and ₹15.50 crore on Wednesday. By the end of the week, the total stood at ₹240 crore.

The franchise’s steepest climb yet

The first-week comparison shows how quickly this franchise has compounded its audience:

  • Drishyam opening week: ₹36.65 crore
  • Drishyam 2 opening week: ₹104.66 crore
  • Drishyam The Conclusion opening week: ₹240 crore

Each sequel has more than doubled the previous film’s first-week number. The same upward pattern is visible in lifetime collections: the original Drishyam closed at ₹67.13 crore, and Drishyam 2 rose to ₹240.54 crore.

Why the next update matters

After seven days, Drishyam The Conclusion is just ₹0.54 crore behind Drishyam 2’s entire India lifetime. For a film still in cinemas, that gap can vanish in a single update, making the next box-office report a potential crowning moment for the franchise.

Passing the previous film would confirm that the third instalment has expanded the franchise’s ceiling, not just its opening numbers. The second-week hold will decide how far the film can push beyond that mark, especially once the second-weekend audience turns up.

For now, the result is unambiguous: the biggest opening week in Drishyam history belongs to the third film, and it arrived in seven days.
