Jinho, Hyojung, and Lee Sang Yeob, all from South Korea, have been diagnosed with Covid-19 and are presently quarantined.

According to Korea JoongAng Daily, the individual musicians’ management agencies stated on Wednesday (February 23) that they had contracted Covid-19 and had suspended all scheduled activities.

Jinho, a member of the South Korean band PENTAGON, tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday, according to their label Cube Entertainment.

“Jinho initially checked that he tested positive using a self-testing kit. Afterwards, he carried out a PCR test, and he ultimately received a positive test today (February 23),” the label mentioned in the statement.

The artist has already received two shots of a vaccine. “Jinho will not be making appearances until he recovers from the virus,” stated the label. That includes “Show! Champion,” a music program on MBC M, in which PENTAGON was planning to make an appearance on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, OH MY GIRL’s Hyojung “tested positive through a test she preemptively carried out using a self-testing kit, so she immediately carried out a PCR test and received a positive test result for COVID-19 this morning (February 23),” said Hyojung’s label WM Entertainment in a statement.

The artist has completed three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. She has “currently halted all activities and is taking rest and the necessary measures in keeping with guidelines set by government health authorities,” stated the label.

According to tvN, the actor Lee Sang Yeob, as well as the producing director of The Sixth Sense 3 both, tested positive for Covid-19. As a result, the launch of the hit variety programme, which was originally slated for March 11, has indeed been pushed back a week to March 18. The actor has already got a COVID-19 booster dose and has temporarily suspended his scheduled activities.

Covid-19 instances have increased dramatically in South Korea, with the number of daily cases recorded on Wednesday (February 23) reaching 171,452, a new high for the country.
