He shared a BTS video, which featured the cast and crew talking about their characters and their co-stars. The film’s director Zoya Akhtar revealed in the video that it was Reema Kagti who brought up Anil Kapoor’s name for Kamal Mehra’s role as she saw him to be the fittest to portray a character who was suave, was very fit, had a bit of arrogance, was extremely body conscious and a lot more.

The video also featured Shefali Shah showering heap of praises on Kapoor. She called the actor “the most dedicated” performer. Priyanka Chopra, on the other hand, is seen describing Kapoor as a “cool” and “phenomenal” actor. She said it was a pleasure to share the screen space with the cinema icon. In the film, the megastar showcased his acting prowess to its full glory when he effortlessly aced the role of a controlling and status-conscious man.
