Alia Bhatt recently joined forces with Shah Rukh Khan for her maiden venture into Production of a dark Comedy, “Darlings”. The backdrop of the movie is a conventional lower middle class locality in Mumbai. The film is about a mother-daughter twosome played by Alia Bhatt and Shefali Shah who finds love and resolution in remarkable situations.
The revelation by Alia Bhatt on social media that she had turned into producer was followed by the announcement of the film. The film is being produced under the banner of Eternal Sunshine Productions and is is co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. Besides the debutant producer, Darlings will also introduce Jasmeet K Reen as director of the film. The cast of the film includes the very brilliant actors Vijay Varma and Roshan Mathew. Therefore, the super brilliant combination of cast and production houses the movie is definitely something to look forward to. The film is expected to hit the floors sometime during this month.
Darlings, set against the backdrop of a conservative lower-middle-class neighbourhood in Mumbai, is said to be a story of a mother-daughter duo, who finds courage and love in exceptional circumstances. Alia, Shah Rukh and the rest of the team unveiled the film’s teaser, which ends with a “statutory warning”, “Offending women can be very dangerous for your health.
