Tabu took to social media on Thursday to announce her next project. The actress will star in Vishal Bhardwaj’s directorial venture, Khufiya, along with Ali Fazal, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Ashish Vidyarthi.
Tabu was busy filming Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 with Kartik Aaryan. While she awaits the release of the horror-comedy film, she has announced her next film. Sharing a snap with Vishal, Ali, Ashish, and Wamiqa, the actress wrote, “Expect nothing but sheer thrill. Excited to announce my re-uniting with @vishalrbhardwaj for #Khufiya. Coming very soon on @netflix_in! @alifazal9.”
Ali Fazal also shared the same picture and wrote, “Redefining your definition of thrillers. Get ready for a gripping ride with none other than @vishalrbhardwaj. Presenting #Khufiya, coming very soon only on @netflix_in!”
About Khufiya
Vishal Bhardwaj is set to make his digital debut with Khufiya. Talking about the film, he told a leading daily, “It is my first web project and I am very excited about it. Since it is based on a true event which happened in Delhi, around 70% of the film will be shot in the national capital, and the rest in the US.”
“Tabu is everyone’s favorite and my most favorite. My best work has been with her. I wrote this character keeping Tabu in mind. Tabu plays the role of the main protagonist who is running the mission. And whenever I see Ali in, I find him to be a very good actor, that’s why I choose to work with him,” he added.
Khufiya is inspired by true events. The spy thriller is based on the espionage novel, Escape To Nowhere by Amar Bhushan. The film will set to stream on Netflix.
