Jason Michael Lee or Jason Lee is indeed an American actor, producer, writer, photographer, and retired professional skateboarder who starred as Earl Hickey within television comedy series My Name Is Earl (2005–2006), about which he received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor inside a Musical or Comedy TV Series, and Dwight Hendricks in Memphis Beat (2010–2011).

Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay as well as Silent Bob Strike Back, Jersey Girl, Clerks II, as well as Cop Out are among his other Kevin Smith movies. For his role in Chasing Amy, Lee earned the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male. In the live-action/CGI Alvin and the Chipmunks film series, he played David Seville.
