As Yo Yo Honey Singh, a musician par excellence has not so good personal life, after getting to know that his wife Shalini Talwar has registered a Domestic Violence Case against him. Now according to the recent update on the case, on Friday, Yo Yo Honey Singh stood in the Tis Hazari court in Delhi in relation to his wife Shalini Talwar’s domestic abuse complaint. For the session, the singer was accompanied by his attorneys. On August 3 of this year, Shalini launched domestic violence, sexual violence, mental harassment, and financial violence lawsuit against him. The woman is demanding Rs. 20 crore for the damages.
Shalini had sobbed in court throughout a prior appearance on August 28. She claimed that she had gave him ten years and had been by his side, but and said he had abandoned her. Tania Singh, the Metropolitan Magistrate, asked Talwar what she desired from the court. According to news agency ANI, “What stage is the marriage at? Where is the love lost?” the magistrate asked her. Singh also stated that resolving the issue would be preferable.
However, in a statement shared on social media, Honey Singh refuted the charges. “I am deeply pained and distressed by the false and malicious allegations levied against me and my family by my companion/wife of 20 years, Mrs Shalini Talwar. The allegations are severely odious. I have never issued a public statement or press note in the past despite being subjected to harsh criticism for my lyrics, speculation on my health, & negative media coverage in general. However, I see no merit in maintaining a studied silence this time because some of the allegations have been directed at my family my old parents and younger sister who have stood by me during some very difficult and trying times and comprise my world. The allegations are cynical and defaming in nature,” a part of the statement which is being issued.
