Govinda, Raveena Tandon, and Shilpa Shetty feature in Pardesi Babu, a 1998 Indian Hindi-language comic drama film directed by Manoj Agrawal.
An impoverished peasant, Raju Pardesi (Govinda), decides to move to Mumbai in hopes of a new life. He met and fell in love with Chinni, the daughter of a wealthy man (Shilpa Shetty). Chinni’s father is against their relationship and dares Raju to earn INR one crore in a year if he wants to get married Chinni. Pardesi arrives at the Darjeeling tea farm, wherein he encounters Karuna (Raveena Tandon), who works as their maid. Pardesi and Karuna find love in the end.
Meanwhile, the tea company expands, and Pardesi is able to raise the necessary funds in less than a year. However, when the time to return approaches, Karuna learns that Pardesi adores Chinni and is devastated. Pardesi rushes to tell her the reality, but he learns that the bag he picked up at the police station belonged to Karuna’s father, who now is suffering from a mental illness. Pardesi believes he is to blame and intends to marry Karuna.
Chinni arrives on the day of their wedding and notices that Pardesi is married Karuna. She learns the whole storey and chooses to come back. Karuna learns the full tale and comes to the conclusion that Chinni is Pardesi’s actual spouse. Pardesi and Chinni marry in the end of the narrative.
Raju Pardesi (Pardesi Babu), who resides in an impoverished hamlet with his harsh stepmother, chooses to go to Mumbai in order to improve his life. When he arrives, he is met by his buddy Happy Singh, who arrangements for him to stay with the strict landlady Mai. Raju enjoys assisting someone else to the point where he will even lose to something like a professional wrestler in order to utilise the money to assist others. When he returns to his apartment one day, he discovers Chinni Chopra, a fugitive bride that refused to marry Narendra, the guy her father has selected for her.
