As per the reports, Toofaan actress Mrunal Thakur and Ishaan Khatter starrer ‘Pippa’ to begin shoot from the month of September. The cast members are all pumped up to begin shooting. Read below to know more details about it.
Previously, like other movie production Mrunal Thakur, Ishaan Khatter, and Priyanshu Painyuli starrer war-drama movie was supposed to go on floors in the month of March of this year. But due to the adverse effect of Covid-19 coronavirus in the country, all of a sudden lockdown took place in India due to which all the industries were shut. The cast and crew had to forcefully agree upon the decision of not shooting during the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic and the schedule hot delayed.
Talking about the film ‘Pippa’ is written by Ravinder Randhawa, Tanmay Mohan, and Raja Krishna Menon. Produced by Roy Kapur Films and RSVP, it will hit the theatres in the second half of next year as per the reports. It revolves around the storyline of Balram and his tank squadron fought the riveting 48-hour-long Battle of Garibpur that laid the foundation for and influenced the outcome of the impending war in India’s favour. The movie portrays the coming-of-age of a young Mehta as well as of our nation, as both stepped up to prove themselves in a war for the liberation of another country. It is a battle that paved the path for India’s victory as Captain Mehta rose and held his troops to become victorious.
The movie ‘Pippa’ is based on the book “The Burning Chaffees” by war veteran Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta, this collaboration has Airlift director Raja Krishna Menon at its helm. Pippa is set to have Ishaan in the role of Brigadier Mehta, a veteran of the 45th Cavalry Tank Squadron who fought on the eastern front during the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971.
