As per the latest reports, ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Cargill Girl’ actress Janhvi Kapoor will kickstart shooting for her upcoming project which ‘Helen’ film remake. Read below to gather more insightful details.
Janhvi Kapoor, who most recently starred in Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, will play Helen in the Hindi version of the Malayalam film. The actress had signed the project last year, according to reports. The actress has now begun shooting in Mumbai.
According to the reports as we have been informed, the remake is tentatively titled ‘Mili’. Due to COVID-19 travel limitations and filming concerns, the film will reportedly be shot in India. Mili is portrayed by this actress. The filming was planned to begin in June, but because of the pandemic, it was postponed.
Zee Studios and Janhvi’s father, Boney Kapoor, are producing the film. Mathukutty Xavier, who directed the previous film, will direct it. In the upcoming survival thriller, veteran actor Manoj Pahwa will play Janhvi Kapoor’s father.
Helen tells the storey of a young nurse who wants to move to Canada. Things take a turn for the worst when she fails to return home from work and mysteriously vanishes. Anna Ben plays the lead part, with Lal, Noble, and others supporting. Supporting cast members include Babu Thomas, Aju Varghese, Rony David, and Binu Pappu.
Production of the movie will be taken care of by Zee Studios and Boney Kapoor (father of the actress Janhvi Kapoor). The movie is helmed by Mathukutty Xavier, who is also the director of the original movie. In the movie the father’s role of ‘Mili’ will be played by Veteran actor Manoj Pahwa will essay the role of Janhvi Kapoor’s father in the upcoming survival thriller.
Talking about other film projects of Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor apart from ‘Mili’, the star will be seen in Good Luck Jerry and Dostana 2 as well.
