San, a member of the South Korean group ATEEZ, has reportedly tested positive for Covid-19 after returning from the group’s global tour in the United States.
According to Soompi, ATEEZ’s management company, KQ Entertainment, issued a formal statement on February 15 updating members’ health. “Hello, my name is KQ Entertainment, and I’m here to welcome you to KQ Entertainment.” The announcement continued, “We are alerting you that ATEEZ member San has tested positive for asymptomatic COVID-19.”
“ATEEZ members Yunho, San, Mingi, and Wooyoung recently returned to Korea as part of the early team after their world tour in the United States. They arrived in Korea on February 12 after undergoing PCR testing in the United States and receiving negative results,” the statement continued.
The statement further mentioned, “In the PCR test that was taken in accordance with the disease prevention guidelines, San tested positive for COVID-19 on February 14 and started treatment at home. Yunho, Mingi, and Wooyoung received negative results on February 15 and are in self-quarantine per the instructions of the disease control authorities.”
San is still most probably asymptomatic because he is not displaying any symptoms, according to the agency. All of the members of the group have previously had two doses of the vaccination.
“We regret for creating anxiety to the fans, and we will do our utmost to ensure San’s rapid recovery,” the agency said. “Thank you very much.”
ATEEZ is a South Korean boy band who made their debut on October 24, 2018. Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, and Jongho are the members of the group.
