Diane Keaton is indeed an actress from the United States. She has garnered several awards over her career, along with an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, two Golden Globe Awards, as well as the AFI Life Achievement Award. She is recognized for her eccentric attitude and dress flair.
Keaton began her acting career on Broadway, inside the original 1968 Broadway production of Hair. Her portrayal in Woody Allen’s humorous drama Play it Again, Sam earned her a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress inside a Play the following year. She subsequently earned her cinematic debut inside the film Lovers and Other Strangers, in which she played a minor role. Her fourth film, the romantic comedy Annie Hall (1977), earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role.
To avoid being stereotyped as Annie Hall, Keaton starred in several dramatic movies, including Looking for Mr. Goodbar (1977) as well as Allen’s Interiors (1978), and received three more Academy Award nominations for her performances as feminist activist Louise Bryant in Reds (1981), a woman with leukaemia in Marvin’s Room (1996), as well as a dramatist in Something’s Gotta Give (1998). (2003). Manhattan (1979), Baby Boom (1987), Father of the Bride (1991), Manhattan Murder Mystery (1993), and Father of the Bride Part II are some of Keaton’s other well-known movies.
