Ankita Lokhande Reveals How She Rejected Big Films As She Wanted To Marry Sushant Singh Rajput

In an interview, actress Ankita Lokhande opened up about her life after the sudden demise of Sushant Singh Rajput. The actress also mentioned that she refused big films like ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and  ‘Happy New Year’ as she wanted to marry.

Speaking about the same, Ankita revealed that she gave up on big films like, ‘Happy New Year’ and also ‘Bajirao Mastani’ She said, “I gave up on Happy New Year, I remember Farah Khan maám offering me the film and Shah Rukh Khan sir was like I will try to give you the best debut. And I was like Bhagwan mera na ho yaar. Mere partner ka sirf acha ho, mera na ho films mein. I was trying to be strong support for Sushant and I did it but then I realized nai yaar , mein bhi toh kuch hoon. After my breakup, I understood my value. So, it’s very important to know your own worth.”

She further revealed, “And I was like, okay, but at the back of my mind… I was in Macau. Me, Sushant and Shah Rukh, we were sitting, and I was like, ‘Bhagwan, mera na ho (God, I hope I don’t get it).’ Ladki kaisi hoti hai na, she always tries, ‘Nahi yaar, mere partner ka achcha ho’ (A girl always wants the best for her partner),

Ankita said that she also let go of movies like ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram-Leela. The actress shared what director Sanjay Leela Bhansali told her, “Kar le Bajirao varna yaad rakh, pachtayegi tu (Do Bajirao Mastani or you will regret it later).’ He was literally praising me and Sanjay sir saying that is a very big thing. Then I was like, ‘Nahi sir, mujhe shaadi karni hai (No, sir. I want to get married).’ I still remember that and he did not have anything to say.
